I have long been against the so called "breakfast replacement shakes". The so called meal replacement shakes, lack nutriton, and substance to replace a real meal. I would rather have a very filling and nutritous breakfast of oatmeal, fruit, eggs for breakfast then something that comes out of a can only fills me up for about an hour and a half. Let alone the sugar, or chemicals that are typically in them.
For the last 5 days I have been experiment with "breakfast smoothies". These smoothies are concoctions of my own and I know what EVERY ingredent is that I put in. So far ingredents included bananas, berries - strawberry, blueberry, raspberry-, almond milk, hemp, spinich, cinnamon, chia seed, flax meal, spiralina, hyaluroni acid, and probiotics. So far I have noticed, my need to snack has decreased, I dont WANT for something sweet, I have tons more energy, and seem to be more full.
I think I will continue with these green energy smoothies for breakfast. And continue to experiment with blends to find just the right one for me.
I encourage you to experiment with your own breakfast smoothie and discover one for your needs.

The Important things
Food is the foundation to our health. We eat food to provide the nutrition our body needs for energy and to keep us healthy but what about the external nutrition? The things we do to keep our mind, spirit, and body healthy. These things also contribute to our physical health as well.
Here are a few things we can do to feed our mind, body and spirit
Meditate
Have a distinguished prayer time
Take a relaxing stroll
Yoga
Bubble bath
Play in the sprinkler (this is for the child inside)
Buy or pick some colorful flowers and put them in a vase
Write in a journal
Get a pedicure
Get a message
Sit on a park benc with a favorite book
What are somethings you can do over the next 10 days that will help you renew?

Moment meditation lesson
I used to meditate everyday. I have gotten away from it due to schedule and life getting busy. This video I feel everyone can learn from meditation doesnt have to be a huge ordeal or even time consuming. It only takes a moment to make your day better

Fruits and Veggies,
For the folks who live in a small town finding organic fruits and vegetables are either hard to find, non exsistant or very expensive. Don't stress over what to eat and what not to eat. Although organic is the healthiest way to go for some it is the most stressful way to go. The first thing I tell people is pick your battles, if you are limited in what you can find or afford go the next step, buy fresh, local fresh is better then canned. If you still are struggling go frozen, frozen is better then canned, and last if all else fails go canned but NOT processed. Always, Always, read the labels. Look for ingredents that you dont know, google them, know what it is that you are eating.
But please dont stress over it. When you start to stress, you set yourself up to fail. Dont give up because your store only carries organic broccoli and carrots. Get what you can buy as fresh as you can. Remember just because the box says organic does not mean it is good for you. Organic packaged foods may still be processed. Read, Read, Read and then READ somemore.

One thing I have always said is nutrition should not be a battle. Make it a simple as you can and don't stress over it. Make small steps. Pick one item to remove from your diet and then replace it with something comparable. example: remove white flour and replace with wheat. Dont forget to add soul renewing activities to your over all diet as well. Such as a walk, a good book or even start a graditude journal. Health includes all aspects - mind, body AND soul.
